Winter Season Ski area is ready to open by Thanksgiving Day, so we must have schedules completed by that date. We will begin accepting winter applications in September, to ensure that your application is considered please do not wait until the last week in November to apply. If you worked last season, please stop by to let your supervisor or the office know you will be returning and what your availability will be. 1. Become a Professional Instructor Must be 16 or older, 14.5 for apprentice WE ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTING ITC APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2011/2012 SEASON. Please check back next fall! There are a limited number of Ski positions and Snowboard positions available. The pro Staff at the Yawgoo Valley Ski Area and Sports Park wishes to extend an invitation to any and all (16 years and older) that think they have what it takes. We offer an Instructor Training Course (ITC) designed to introduce you to the world of snow sports instruction. Great exercise, great fun and plenty of satisfaction! The First meeting for Instructor Training school applicants will be in November The ITC will begin in mid November. Please Note: Apprentice candidates must be 14 ½ years old prior to December 1st in order to assist our Pro Staff this season!! Interested candidates please have ITC Application to us no later than October 31st. Applicants will be contacted by email on or after November 1st. 2. Retail Shop Personnel Must be 18 or older Learn to tune and repair skis and snowboards, meet people and get retail experience. All positions filled 3. Lift Attendants Must be 18 or older Assisting customers on and off lift must be able to work outdoors. All positions filled 4. Rental Shop Personnel Must be 18 or older Setting up equipment for customers, with a general knowledge of skis and/or snowboards. All positions filled 5. Cashiers/Ticket Sales Assisting customers in the cafeteria, or ticket office. General office work and cleaning applies. Must be able to restock and have a basic knowledge of money handling. All positions filled 6. Cooks Must be 16 or older All positions filled 7. Bartenders Must be 18 or older and TIPS certified All positions filled 8. Tubing Park Attendants Must be 16 years or older Pushing tubers, assisting customers in or out of tubes, hitching or unhitching tubes from the lift. All positions filled 9. | Summer Season Water Park opens mid June and will remain open until Labor Day, applications will be accepted starting in the spring. 1. Lifeguards (must be pool lifeguard, CPR and first aid certified) 2. Water Slide Dispatchers 3. Tiki Bar Staff (Includes selling tickets and cooking/serving food.) |
